New York, the most populous city in the United States and the Center of international affairs is one of the destinations I would definitely like to go sometime. But this is not at all about the location "New York" ...it is the movie I managed to see yesterday (thanks to my boss who conveniently agreed to grant me a break for it...sshhhhh :P )
I had great expectations from the movie not because I have not seen any flick from the past 2-3 months but because I somehow liked the promos very much! Katrina K appeared very lively and John A & Neil Nitin M were ....were....well....they looked wow!
So its like i already knew John is a terrorist and that KK and JA would die in the climax....but alas! the story managed to keep the interest alive. The initial college days of the threesome never reminded me of mine :| :| but i liked it! The scene when NNM gets a pic clicked at the entrance of college was --> :D ....i bet i would have done the same if I were to join my dream college. The best part was the trust and faith all of them had in each other.
The director conveyed a meaningful message in such a simple way - quite admirable. There was no criticism in the entire movie and yet the communication was crisp and clear. Things will not be fair every time but it is our decision to chose the path of our life. I agree that right or wrong are relative terms but the outcome of right decision is only "right" and wrong is only "wrong". You got to decide! It is not easy to overcome the depression and sadness when you lose your dignity and self-respect b'coz that is human nature. You may not be able to forgive people easily ...but bad times ought to be forgotten.
Also...being emotional is not bad at all, as some people say, but emotions should be your strength and not weakness. Your respect is in your arms - its the way you see it. And we must learn to forgive....its the best medicine to move ahead in life!
The movie becomes extremely emotional towards the end and you cannot leave the audi with dry eyes for sure. The loyalty of NNM for his friends was commendable, even in turbulent times he held his head firmly on his shoulders - he believed in himself and his friends! He never ditched them and was always hopeful to bring things back to normal. Performance-wise KK was definitely in her best forms and so was JA...NNM was no exception as well. And yes, how can i forget Irfan K!! He is one of those fine actors who can tote such critical subjects with ease....and of course his distaste for pasta..haha! superb actor he is...
Music was exemplary..."Hai Junoon" was my favourite till i watched the movie....and now its "Tune Jo Na Kaha" as well - very serene and soothing to my eardrums!
Overall - it is a very meaningful and thought provoking movie - a message that needs to be conveyed to the whole world. We've got ONLY one life and we must utilize it to make things beautiful...there is so much to do!
May God bless us All
